What is ISTA 2A Testing?

ISTA 2A is a globally recognized testing procedure developed by the International Safe Transit

Association (ISTA).  It is specifically designed for packaged products weighing under 150 lbs (70 kg),

and simulates the conditions packages may face during transport through various modes such as

ground, air, or express delivery.

Objectives of ISTA 2A:

- Ensure product and packaging durability under real world shipping conditions

- Prevent damage and preserve product integrity

Key ISTA 2A Tests:

• Drop Test: Simulates accidental drops from various heights

• Vibration Test: Mimics vibrations during truck or airplane transport
